Musically, they are about 10-20 BPM faster - but they sound completely comfortable and within themselves. The main vocalist has pretty much 80% of the mic with some raspy screams here and there. The pig squeel is virtually gone - he gets 2 small lines and a squeel to end of "one" song. Essentially, just because a tune begins with a rock riff does not mean you are getting 2 minutes of it. New Mumakil is fucking awesome! Holy shit! The Rock/Groove/Leng Tch'e riffs are still there but unlike on Customized Warfare, where songs were "designed" around these riffs, the new songs have plenty of riff progression and variation. Very quality release covering all the grind basics (crossover riffs, grind riffs, death metal riffs and a wide array of drum work.) Perfect alternative for Rotten Sound fans. At times it's like Cycles from Rotten Sound versus Funeral March from Gadget. There is plenty of double bass, plenty of death metal riffs.

And to top it off, they are not playing straight-forward D-Beat grind. They are faster, smoother and more comfortable. They have matured 200% over Svarta Dagar. This site needs more people who understand the difference between the countless sub-genres in metal. Nice Axel - cheers mate! You are one of the many names I remember. In Narcosis reminds me of Anticapital era Assuck mixed with 38counts/Painter era Pig Destroyer. I saw them with Kill the Client and Phobia last year and was very impressed (two other bands were there but they did nothing for me). They deserve my frozenaeons - indeed, Maruta slay.
